Max Holloway signs and donates UFC 236 gloves to Dustin Poirier's charity

Who says all losers have to be bitter? After having his 13-fight winning streak ended at UFC 236 against Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight title, Max Holloway handled the loss with class.

Holloway took it once step further this week by signing and donating his worn fight gloves to Poirier for him to auction off for his charity, The Good Fight Foundation.

Poirier, who regularly auctions off his gear postfight, is currently raising money to build a playground for special needs children at an elementary school in his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana.

The playground is the fulfillment of a dream by a child named Aaron Hill. Hill died at 7 years old from ALD, a rare brain disease.

Speaking to MMAJunkie before the fight Poirier said, “[Hill’s] dream and wish was his school would have a playground the people in wheelchairs and people in his class can go have time and play on ... What me and the Good Fight Foundation are going to do is raise money through TheGoodFightGroup.com and auction off all my gear from this fight and get a playground built.”

Per Poirier’s social media, the link to the auction will go live on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Holloway continues to be the most wholesome fighter in the UFC.
