Masters 2023: Tiger Woods fighting for the cut as second round suspended
Tiger Woods was right on the cutline when play was suspended on Friday at the Masters.
He was 2-over for the tournament through 11 holes of his second round at Augusta National when the action was halted due to high wind and rain in the area.
It was so windy that multiple trees were blown down near the 17th tee in a frightening scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Before that, Woods was grinding his way through an even-par round, carding one bogey and one birdie on the day. He's well behind clubhouse leader Brooks Koepka, who is at 12-under, but at this point the cutline (currently projected at 2-over) is the more important target for Woods. He's trying to make his 23rd straight Masters cut, which would tie the all-time record.
He posted a 2-over 74 on Thursday to kick off the Masters.
