'If you want to be relevant again?': Manny Pacquiao calls out Floyd Mayweather for rematch

Manny Pacquiao has reignited calls for a rematch with Floyd Mayweather after a fiery tweet calling out the undefeated American.

Pacquiao recorded yet another win in his legendary career when he win a split decision victory over the previously unbeaten Keith Thurman.

The victory was made all the more incredible considering Pacman was 10-years older than his opponent but still proved he had the power and speed to pull off the incredible win at the MGM Grand Arena.

But Mayweather took exception to many fans calling for a rematch with the Pacman following the bout.

Mayweather posted to Instagram claiming Pacquiao has been riding on his fame and it was time to move on.

“I find it real ironic how every time Pacquiao's name is brought up in the media, my name is always attached to it,” he wrote.

“This man's entire legacy and career has been built off its association with my name and it's about time you all stop using my brand for clout chasing and clickbait and let that man's name hold weight of its own.”

But Pacquiao quickly responded claiming Mayweather was the one that attended his most recent fight and so he challenged the undefeated fighter to a second bout.

“You come to my fight and then use my name in a post but I’m the one that is trying to stay relevant? if you want to be relevant again... #MayPac2,” he wrote.

The feud has reignited the hunger for the second “Fight of the Century” after the pair fought in 2015.

The much-anticipated bout was won by Mayweather and the American has remained retired despite a one-off fight with MMA star Conor MCGregor in a boxing ring nearly two years ago.

Long-time trainer of Pacquiao, Freddie Roach, said recently he didn’t think a second bout between the pair would happen.
