Luka Doncic had the classiest message for Kyrie Irving after his injury

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving may not be teammates anymore, but terrible decision-making by Dallas' front office isn't enough to tear their friendship apart.

In a terrible season that only keeps getting worse for the Mavericks, Kyrie Irving tore his ACL against the Kings on Monday night. He's done for the rest of the NBA season and will probably miss a big chunk of next season, too. His road to recovery will be a long one.

One of the voices in Irving's ear as he travels down that road will be Doncic.

The Lakers star sent Irving some support via his Instagram story with a classy message going out to his former teammate. "You will come back stronger mi hermano," Doncic said.

On one hand, this is sad. It seems like these two genuinely enjoyed being teammates and working together. They had lots of success, too. In just two years playing together they managed to make it all the way to the NBA Finals. Couldn't get the job done, but that's still impressive.

On the other hand, this is awesome. Even when they're not teammates, Doncic is still supportive of Irving. That's always nice to see. I'm sure Irving will appreciate it.
