Los Angeles Lakers' Austin Reaves Surprises His Brother by Wearing Pink Sneakers to Reveal Sex of His Sibling's Baby on the Way

After the reveal, the Los Angeles Lakers player's brother responded saying, "Appreciate You!"

Austin Reaves is excited to become an uncle!

During Wednesday night's NBA game, where the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Indiana Pacers, the shooting guard revealed the sex of his brother Spencer and his pregnant wife Casey's baby on the way. Reaves stepped onto the court sporting pink and white sneakers, signaling their baby is going to be a girl.

Spencer, who is playing basketball overseas in Germany, reacted to his brother's reveal on X, writing, "Appreciate you! We didn't know Austin would be so pumped to do this. He's known for weeks. Maybe he got Luka on board as well with his shoes tonight 😉."

Spencer and his wife Casey first revealed that they are expecting their bundle of joy in February 2025. The couple announced the news with a joint post on Instagram. In the pictures, the two shared adorable snaps of them holding up a sonogram and a baby jersey as they looked into each other's eyes.

In another shot, the couple stood together with their dog in the middle holding the sonogram. The dog wore a scarf around his neck with the words "big brother" on it in script.

"Baby Reaves coming soon 🫶🏼🕊️🌿👼🏼" the caption read.

The two tied the knot in June 2022, getting married at Pensacola Beach, Florida. After the wedding, Spencer shared photos from their big day on Instagram, including one shot of the two kissing after saying "I do" and another with them smiling together in front of the blue water.

"6.27.2022 ♥️," he simply captioned the post.
