Liverpool have handed 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha his debut in today’s FA Cup third round tie against Accrington Stanley.

Amid a sea of experience, the young winger has been given the nod on the flank, and tasked with supporting Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez.

Dominik Szoboszlai missed Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg loss to Tottenham due to illness and that was the reason for Jarell Quansah's early substitution.

Liverpool do have a huge Premier League game away at high-flying Nottingham Forest next Tuesday so that may have an impact on Arne Slot's team selection.
