Good morning, Winners! Welcome back to the Morning Win. We ride at dawn.
I don't know if you knew this, but Mavericks fans are really unhappy with the Luka Doncic trade, guys.
On the same night that Luka Doncic made his dazzling debut for the Lakers, some Mavericks fans were thrown out of their favorite team's home arena for, uh, let's call it, voicing their displeasure with the deal.
THE GRASS IS GREENER: Luka Doncic looked like he had so much fun in his debut
These fans are revolting, folks. It's bad.
One fan who appeared on the arena jumbotron during a dead ball mouthed "Fire Nico" while on camera. He was removed from the game. Boos rained down from every corner of the arena after.
It's not just that dude who feels that way. There have been entire protests dedicated to getting Nico Harrison out of the paint in Dallas. Protests, guys. Even Dirk Nowitzki chose to go to the Laker game and support Luka rather than pop out in Dallas. This is pretty bad. Really, really bad.
On one hand, this is tough. I do feel bad for the players who are still there and certainly trying their hardest to be the best that they can be. And it's not like the Mavericks have been awful since the trade — they're 2-3 but would be 3-2 if DeMar DeRozan wasn't so darn good at game-winning shots.
On the other hand, I can't say I blame them!
Mavericks fans, please sign me up. I, too, hate the Luka Doncic trade. The deal still doesn't make any sense. It especially doesn't make sense now that Anthony Davis is hurt, which, wow, who could've seen that coming?
It's been more than a week now and there's still no way that this deal makes any sense. None. At worst, Nico Harrison got fleeced. At worst, this is an NBA conspiracy to, once again, prop up the LA and keep the NBA under Laker hegemony for the next decade.
That last option point is a bit galaxy-brained, yes. But, guys. We're talking about sports fans here. Everything they think is galaxy-brained. Of course, that's where they're going. It's so easy to do because, again, there's no reasonable excuse for the Mavericks to be where they are right now.
They traded a generational talent for a guy who they won't even see touch a basketball court for another two months. By then, they'll almost certainly be out of the playoffs.
You just have to be mad about this, especially considering everybody hates the Lakers.
So, yeah, Mavs fans. I feel y'all. I'm sorry. Again, we ride at dawn.
Speaking of the Lakers
Mavs fans, if you're still reading at this point, please just scroll down some more to the next story. I'll give you a sec.

OK, cool. Luka made his debut in LA last night and I don't think I've ever seen him look happier on a basketball court.
The dude was throwing full-court passes to LeBron James while grinning from ear to ear. It's crazy.
LeBron is even telling Luka the complete opposite of what he told Kevin Love back in the day. "Don't fit in. Fit the [expletive] out."
Lakers fans, man. I really hope y'all know how good you've got it.
An Unrivaled Upset
Aaliyah Edwards cooking Unrivaled League co-founder Breanna Stewart 12-0 gave me so much life.
I never thought Stewie would go scoreless in a 1v1 matchup with anyone. But for it to happen against the youngest player in the league? Who isn't even considered a 1v1 specialist of any type? Yeah, this was pretty insane.
Mystics, I hope you are watching.
