Is this the best try of 2016 so far?

The Harlem Globetrotters made an appearance at Allianz Stadium on Monday Night as the Roosters scored an unthinkable try in atrocious conditions.

Trailing 20-10 in their eventual loss to the Panthers, Latrell Mitchell finished off some incredible teamwork to get his side back within striking distance.

It started with a cross-field kick from Jackson Hastings to Shaun Kenny-Dowall, who offloaded to Blake Ferguson.

The Roosters centre looked to have been tackled before popping a brilliant ball to Eloni Vunakece, who in turn threw a no-look pass over his head back to Kenny-Dowall, who batted it straight to Jake Friend.

The Roosters skipper then summed up the situation perfectly, putting Mitchell away with a clever ball, the young gun putting an exclamation mark on the four-pointer with a huge don't argue on opposite number Matt Moylan.

"Gymnastics, volleyball, rugby league all in the one four-pointer", commentator Warren Smith exclaimed.

"That sort of try should not happen in these conditions", offered counterpart Greg Alexander.
