GAME PREVIEW

Hosts Minerva Punjab have defeated NEROCA FC and Chennai City on their home turf, both with 2-1 scorelines. Sandwiched between the home wins is a 2-0 away win against Monday's opponents Indian Arrows in Goa.

Once again, due to the loan agreement with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Jeakson Singh, Anwar Ali and Nongdamba Naorem won't be a part of the Arrows' squad against their parent club. Norton had expressed his disappointment over the same and had a spat with the Minerva Punjab owner Ranjit Bajaj on social media.

The Arrows coach will be better prepared for the long throw-ins and set-pieces given that the Portuguese has identified Minerva's strong points.

Minerva Punjab coach Wangkhem Khogen Singh has stressed that he would like to hang on to his winning combination in order to stratch their unbeaten run. Sukhdev Singh's exclusion from the first XI in the last game was on account of illness but the skipper is fit to start on Monday.

The Arrows have been out of action for almost two weeks but have eight games in quick succession until the second week of January 2018. They had earlier defeated Chennai City convincingly by a 3-0 scoreline where Aniket Jadhav scored a brace.

Can the young Indian side upset the Ranjit Bajaj-owned outfit in their own backyard?
