KNP Complex Fire Smolders in Sequoia National Park

The KNP Complex Fire smoldered in California’s Sequoia National Park, with the 136-square-mile fire at 30 percent containment according to the latest reports on Tuesday, October 12.

Several evacuation orders and warnings were downgraded in the affected area over the weekend, while others remained in place.

A firefighter was hospitalized on Monday after they were struck by a rolling rock in Atwell Grove while working to contain the KNP Complex, local media reported.

The Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks remained closed due to the wildfire.
