Kings interested in John Collins?
Hopefully you recall our Jan. 22 report about Johnson and Sacramento and how the Kings — after weeks without active discussions with the Nets on the in-demand sharpshooter — had moved on to the pursuit of new trade targets. One of those targets, league sources say now, was Utah's John Collins ... but it is unclear how far the teams actually got in those talks before news of the Kings' willingness to field offers for De'Aaron Fox inevitably became the most pressing trade matter in Sacramento.

I can tell you from seeing him up close: Collins has been itching to play. Originally out due to a hip contusion, Collins came back for one game, then missed eight straight for “hip injury management.” Which, well, hmm... that’s not how contusion absences usually work. I’ve been impressed with how hard he’s going during shootaround, practice, and pregame warmups, though.
