Kevin-Prince Boateng was on target in Eintracht Frankfurt’s 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin in Sunday’s German Bundesliga encounter.

The 30-year-old helped Niko Kovac’s men secure victory against the Blue-Whites as they extended their impressive away form, unbeaten in four consecutive games on the road.

Boateng increased his tally to three goals in 14 league appearances this season as the Eagles recovered from their 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen last weekend.

Davie Selke got Hertha Berlin to a fine start with a goal in the 15th minute, off Matthew Leckie's assist.

11 minutes later, a well-taken corner kick from Jetro Willems assisted Marius Wolf's stunning strike that drew both sides levelled into the break.

Boateng’s strike in the 80th minute secured victory for the visitors - their sixth league win this campaign.

The Ghana international was shown a yellow card in the ninth minute of the encounter - his third in the since joining the Commerzbank-Arena outfit as a free agent from Las Palmas this summer.

Niko Kovac’s men moved up to the eighth spot in the German top-flight log with 22 points from 14 games and they welcome Bayern Munich for their next league fixture on Saturday
