Kevin Holland returns to welterweight, meets Gunnar Nelson at UFC Fight Night 255
Kevin Holland will look to rebound when he drops back down to welterweight.
Holland takes on Gunnar Nelson at UFC Fight Night 255 on March 22 from The O2 in London (ESPN+). A person with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. X user @realkevink first reported the news.
Holland (26-13 MMA, 13-10 UFC) is coming off a first-round submission loss to Reinier de Ridder at UFC 311 earlier this month. "Trailblazer," who has bounced between 170 and 185 pounds throughout his UFC career, has lost four of his past five fights.
Nelson (19-5-1 MMA, 10-5 UFC) will return from a two-year layoff. The 36-year-old is on a two-fight winning streak: Takashi Sato by unanimous decision, followed by a first-round Performance of the Night submission of Bryan Barberena at UFC 286.
