Karl Stefanovic has performed a disturbing act in Paris.

The Today Show host, who is in the City of Lights covering the 2024 Olympics, took to the streets on Thursday’s program to convince people to dip Tim Tams in Vegemite.

Stefanovic enlisted social media sensations Lachlan and Bailey Carter for the job, urging people to blend the two Australian classics.

Tourists gave tight lipped smiles and thumbs up after trying the unusual combination.

“What did we give that Japanese tourist?” Stefanovic later asked co-host Sarah Abo.

“That poor woman,” Abo replied.

“No, she loved it, by the way,” Stefanovic added.

Sarah tried the "sweet and salty" treat
Sarah, disgusted by Karl’s bold act, also tried the "sweet and salty" treat.

But it wasn’t all put on the tourists — Stefanovic made sure to try the concoction himself.

Abo was quick to express her disgust over the move.

“ That is disgusting. I love Tim Tams, but that is disgusting,” she said.

Brothers Lachlan and Bailey Carter also tried the “sweet and salty” treat, thrilled to be in Paris to watch their swimming gold medallist sister Kaylee McKeown compete.

The pair crowd-funded their way to the Olympics, having taken to social media to enlist help to get them there.

“We just want to support all the Aussies, obviously, Kaylee, our family, she’s going to smash it over there, but Australia has such a strong team and we want to be behind them and back them all the way ,” Lachlan told the Today Show before he’d secured his way to Paris.
