Julius Randle on struggles with Wolves: Finding out what the team needs on a night-to-night- basis has been the difficult part

.
.

Which brings the Wolves to Randle, who is taking on a different role with this team than he had in New York. There, he was “wired to score” he said, and now he has had to rewire his game in Minnesota. That process is taking time. “That’s really been the biggest change. You’re somewhere for five years, playing a certain way and I come here and it’s a little bit different,” Randle said. “I love my role here. I love playing with my teammates, but finding what helps the team and what the team needs the most on a night-to-night basis has been the harder part, but everybody has been great with me, coaches included, helping me adjust and figuring things out.”

"(Expletive) told one of my teammates that if I would have said 'Y'all calling a bad foul' he wouldn't have gave me a tech," Edwards continued. "They're just sensitive and they're terrible. They penalize me and Ju (Randle) for being stronger than our opponent every night. We don't get no calls. So yeah, that's how I feel about the officials. Every game that we play." -via athlonsports.com / December 22, 2024

Despite the emotional backdrop, it was Anthony Edwards who captured attention with his blunt post-game remarks. Edwards didn't hold back when critiquing his team. "We don't have shit on offense. We don't have no identity," Edwards said. "We know I'm gonna shoot a bunch of shots, we know Ju [Julius Randle] gonna shoot a bunch of shots, and that's all we know. We don't really know anything else. It's not on the coaches at all. It's on us. We're out there playing." -via BasketNews / December 20, 2024
