Fighter wins UFC contract with sickening head kick KO
MMA fighter Julian Marquez has earned himself a spot on the UFC roster with one of the most awful-sounding knockouts you'll ever hear.
Marquez was taking part in the UFC Contender Series on Wednesday when he floored Phil Hawes with a massive head kick.
The Contender Series was set up by UFC boss Dana White to unearth talented fighters, and this one certainly did the trick.

Marquez hit Hawes with a series of punches, forcing him to retreat to the side of the octagon.
With his opponent hunched over, Marquez then produced a brutal kick to the head that made a truly sickening 'crack' when it connected.
The crowd immediately erupted as the referee was forced to stop the fight, and White couldn't believe what he'd seen from his ring-side seat.
The UFC boss later offered Marquez a contract to fight in his promotion.
"I didn't fight for Dana White. I fought for myself," Maruqez said after the fight.
Irishman Sean O'Malley recently won himself a UFC contract in similar fashion.
