JT's beautiful family moment before farewell game
Johnathan Thurston has received a touching farewell ahead of his final game in North Queensland.
The Cowboys legend embraced his wife and mother, before charging out onto the field in North Queensland holding the hands of his two young daughters.
Thurston also received a military guard of honour as he ran out at 1300 SMILES Stadium for the last time.
Sharing the guard of honour was fellow Cowboys star Matt Scott, who was celebrating his 250th NRL match.
The powerhouse prop was also accompanied by his two young children as he ran out to the passionate North Queensland crowd.
The fun didn’t stop there for JT, who almost immediately sparked a Cowboys onslaught against the Eels.
He set up the first try just four minutes into the match.
Only fitting the first try comes from a JT pass. 👌 #NRLCowboysEels
