When will Jonathan Taylor return? Latest injury updates on Colts RB

Running back Jonathan Taylor did not play for the Indianapolis Colts in their 37-34 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars due to an ankle injury last Sunday.
Taylor was missed after the Colts had five different players, including quarterback Joe Flacco, run with the football for 99 total yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.
"He's working through it," said Colts coach Shane Steichen about Taylor on Wednesday. "He's looking good so we'll see how the week goes with him. … We are hopeful that he'll be out there."
Taylor's status has been evaluated and the team announced that he will not play in the AFC South contest against the Tennessee Titans this week. He was officially ruled out Friday.

When will Jonathan Taylor return?
The Colts appeared to be taking a day-to-day approach with Taylor. He did not practice at all for a second straight week, but Steichen told reporters the injury was not any more serious than they expected.
"I'm feeling way better, which is a positive sign," Taylor told reporters on Thursday. "Anytime you can progress throughout the week, you're closer to getting back on the field."

Before he returns, he wanted to be "able to move around" and "get in and out of cuts."
He is tied for fifth in the league with four touchdowns, and is also among the top 12 for both carries (72) and yards (349).
When was Jonathan Taylor's injury?
Taylor suffered a high ankle in the fourth quarter of the Colts' 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Taylor had 21 carries for 88 yards, scoring his only touchdown of the game on the opening drive for the Colts.

As of Wednesday, the Colts listed three players as running backs on their depth chart:
Jonathan Taylor
Trey Sermon
Tyler Goodson
Trey Sermon immediately took over in the backfield after Taylor left the game against the Steelers. He would be the first option against the Titans if Taylor is out. Sermon had 10 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown last week against the Jaguars. Tyler Goodson had five carries for 26 yards.
Evan Hull has been on the practice squad all season and saw action in just one game last season as a rookie before suffering a season-ending injury.
