Jimoh backs relegation-threatend Shooting Stars to improve

Shooting Stars attacker, Wasiu Jimoh has backed his team to 'come back stronger' when they host Wikki Tourists on Sunday.

The Oluyole Warriors went down 1-0 to Rivers United in their previous topflight and enter the Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 27 placed 19th in the log.

However the winger is confident they will do their best to get back on track when they host the Bauchi Elephants this weekend.

"We have gone back to the drawing board and looked at what we've done wrong and we'll come back on Sunday hopefully a bit stronger. Improving on our current status is the major target on our horizon," Jimoh told Goal.

"We can look to the future with optimism. We need to be winning matches. It's time for our season to take off. Winning against Wikki Tourists is very important for us.

"It will be a very open game – one in which both teams will have the opportunity to score. But I think we will be far stronger them and hopefully we take our chances when necessary.

The game between Shooting Stars and Wikki Tourists will take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
