Veteran Houston Rockets forward Jeff Green has officially replaced Vince Carter as the player with the most teammates in NBA history – if we account solely for the guys who played in the same game as him. Throughout his 17-year career, Green has played alongside 266 different players, including 16 who made the All-Star Game while on the same team.
Of course, this is a byproduct of Green having a long career while also playing for 11 teams, an unusual combination of longevity and movement. Green has enjoyed a long, fruitful career, seeing action at a lot of spots despite being such a solid player.
Other interesting notes from this data include Nazr Mohammed, an 18-year NBA veteran who played for eight teams, being the player who has been teammates – and shared the floor with – the most All-Star players ever at 17. Meanwhile, those on this list with the fewest All-Star teammates are LeBron James, Carter and Chris Paul, all of whom have shared the floor with seven different All-Stars during their time in the NBA. (Role players on smaller salaries can more easily join teams with multiple stars, while assembling super-teams of All-Stars faces significant salary cap constraints).
