Jared Leto drops into “Wheel of Fortune” to host for April Fools' Day

Forget the "Dallas Buyers Club," Leto is all in on the Wheel Watchers Club.

Jared Leto is such a Joker.

The Oscar-winning actor popped into Wheel of Fortune on Monday night to host the beloved game show. Leto entered with regular cohost Vanna White with almost no fanfare.

"Here are the stars of our show, Jared Leto and Vanna White," the announcer said as the pair walked out arm in arm.

Much like longtime host Pat Sajak, Leto told White, "Have a great show and see you soon," before separating from her so she could take her place next to the puzzle board.

Without so much as a "Happy April Fools!" he jumped into hosting, "All right everybody, grab those devices, it's time to give away some money," he told the three contestants. "A $1000 in our first toss-up, the category is on the map."

The show then continued on as normal, cutting back to regular host Sajak as if nothing had happened. Leto's appearance was never addressed further in the episode.

Leto is already a multi-hyphenate, working regularly as an actor and the frontman of band Thirty Seconds to Mars. But now he can add Wheel of Fortune host to his credits.

This isn't the first time Leto has partnered with Wheel. Last fall, he and fellow bandmate, his brother Shannon Leto, appeared as "contestants" on the game show and shared an extremely awkward exchange with Sajak. Later, while solving a puzzle in the category "Show Biz," the third contestant, Mary, solved for Thirty Seconds to Mars World Tour, announcing the band's 2024 tour.

Representatives for Wheel of Fortune and Leto did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment.
