An Iain Hume hat-trick lit up the evening the last time Kerala Blasters took on Delhi Dynamos and the Kochi faithful will be hoping for a similar show on Saturday when the Tuskers host the Lions.
Both teams are in unenviable positions in the league right now with Kerala Blasters placed seventh and Delhi Dynamos propping up the table in the tenth position. A defeat on Saturday will be highly detrimental to either teams' chance of making it to the playoffs.
Hence one can expect an all-out battle because the season is at that stage where being cagey will not serve the purpose of both teams, perhaps Delhi are badly in need of a win than Kerala.
Kerala Blasters are coming into this game after a loss to FC Goa at home. They have only won one game at their home, which was a sort of fortress last season. It is time for the Men in Yellow to ensure they capitalise on their home games. They have brought in Icelandic striker Gudjon Baldvinsson as a replacement for Mark Sifneos but have been dealt a blow with an injury to Ugandan midfielder Keziron Kizito who is reportedly out for the season.
Delhi Dynamos are also coming after a damaging defeat to Jamshedpur FC where they lost despite being two goals up at one point. The defence has been their Achilles' heel this time around and Kerala will be hoping to capitalise on that.
Can Kerala Blasters do the double over Delhi Dynamos or will the away side avenge their earlier loss?
