I-League 2017: DSK Shivajians vs Shillong Lajong Preview: The Reds yearning for revenge against the side from Pune

DSK Shivajians are all set to host Shillong Lajong at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune as the I-League swings back into action.

The Reds had last met the Pune based side in February when Shane McFaul and Sanju Pradhan had given them an away win in Meghalaya.

Shivajians are meanwhile riding high on the 5-0 rollicking they handed out to struggling Mumbai FC before the international break and picked up a much needed win after recording three losses in their last four encounters.

The return of Sasa Kolunija from injury will be a relief to Rogers who has the full squad at his disposal.

Substitute Lallianzuala Chhangte who got on the scoresheet will be pushing Sumeet Passi for a spot in the starting eleven while regulars Halicharan Narzary and Sanju Pradhan will look to start off from where they left.

Juan Quero's sublime skills on the ball will be something Lajong needs to watch out for as they look to earn all three points.

Thangboi Singto's team occupy the fourth place, and have been on a good run of form where they lost only one in their last five matches, to East Bengal.

Their imperious home form where they won 5, and lost 2 out of the seven are a key component to their success and they would see this as a contest to improve on their away forays.

Fabio looks to carry a slight niggle and will be unavailable with the league's top scorer Asier Dipanda looking to lead the line.

Rupert Nongrum will look to get into the team alongside Bipin Singh on either wings.

Yuto Kinowaki who has had a great run in the league so far will look to marshal midfield with youngsters Isaac and Samuel for support.

With Shivajians tottering around the bottom, a win will do them a world of good to climb out of the depths while Lajong need to keep on winning to finish in the top three and beyond.
