Hulk Hogan Gets Booed So Hard By WWE Fans That It's Secondhand Embarrassing

It seems that Hogan does not know best.

On Netflix’s Monday night premiere of WWE’s flagship “Raw” show, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan got verbally body-slammed by the California crowd at Inglewood’s Intuit Dome, as seen in footage circulating on social media.

Toward the end of the three-hour event, the Hulkster — whose real name is Terry Bollea — walked out on the stage to the song “Real American” and was swiftly greeted with thunderous boos at the jam-packed arena.

Although the audience wasn’t thrilled to see the WWE Hall of Famer, Hogan was keen to pretend like the jeering wasn’t happening and proceeded to sling his Real American Beer brand.

But the most ironic part came when Hogan decided to show his appreciation for the wrestling community, which he’s been a part of for over four decades.

“I’ve had all kinds of tag-team partners over the years. But you, the fans, have been my greatest tag-team partner because you guys have stuck with me through thick and thin,” Hogan said, backed by a booming orchestra of unforgiving boos.

Hogan then proceeded to tear his shirt off, revealing another shirt under it — a move not unlike the one heweirdly pulled during the Republican National Convention last year.

Hogan’s connection to the Republican Party — specifically, his incredibly loud support for President-elect Donald Trump — is perhaps part of the reason why he received such a salty reception in Inglewood.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Hogan joked about body-slamming the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and questioned her racial identity. He also proudly told the audience at the RNC that “Trumpamania” should “run wild.”

“Let Trumpamania rule again!” he said at that event. “Let Trumpamania make America great again!”

But that’s not the only reason why wrestling fans have seemingly soured on Hogan. In 2015, news outlets reported that Hogan had once been recorded using the N-word to refer to his daughter’s then-boyfriend.He subsequently apologized for his use of offensive language — after the WWE terminated his contract — and called his remarks “unacceptable.”

Although Hogan may be on the outs with some WWE fans, they’re going to have to deal with his continued presence to an extent; the wrestling promotion announced Monday that it has established a multiyear partnership with his beer brand and will be showcasing it at events.
