WWE legend Kurt Angle has made staggering claims that Hulk Hogan has no feeling in his lower body after having nerves removed from his back. Angle made the awful claims on the latest episode of his podcast 'The Kurt Angle Show', saying Hogan has been using a cane for months.

“Hogan had his back surgery again. He had the nerves cut from his lower body. He can’t feel his lower body, so he has to use his cane to walk around,” Angle said.

“I thought he was using the cane because he has pain in his back. He doesn’t have any pain, he has nothing at all. He can’t feel anything.

“So now he can’t feel his legs, so he has to walk with a cane. That’s pretty serious, man. I mean, I really feel for Hogan. He put his heart and soul into the business and it ate him up.”

Angle said he spoke to Hogan (real name Terry Gene Bollea) at the 30th anniversary celebration show for RAW in Philadelphia on January 23. Hogan reportedly told Angle that back surgery had left him "unable to feel his “lower body.

Angle went on to pay tribute to the 69-year-old Hogan and his legacy in professional wrestling. He said: “I mean, I really feel for Hogan. He put his heart and soul into the business and ate him up.

“I mean, if you’re gonna kick off the show, the 30th anniversary of RAW, [it] should be Hulk Hogan. He’s the name and face of the company. He’s the guy that revolutionised pro wrestling. I have so much respect for him.”

WWE fans left saddened over news about Hulk Hogan

Hogan has yet to publicly address Angle's claims. The 69-year-old had fans concerned in 2020 when he posted photos of himself undergoing an MRI.

Hogan has had dozens of surgeries on his back, both during his WWE career and after retirement. Widely regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Hogan has suffered a multitude of back, hip, spine and knee injuries.

In 2021, daughter Brooke revealed her dad had undergone 25 surgeries in the last decade. She said: “We counted how many surgeries he’s had in the last 10 years and I think we’re at 25. He’s had both shoulders scoped and he had his whole bicep and his bursa sac and everything tied up in his shoulder last year.

"That was a disaster. He got MRSA and it was like a big thing. So we had to go back and undo tons of physical therapy. He’s had both of his knees replaced multiple times, I think twice on both. He’s had his hips done. He’s had his elbow scope."

Named as the most famous wrestler of all time in 2008, Hogan had previously spoken of his desire to compete in the WWE again. His last professional match was for WWE rival network TNA, something he previously said he struggles to accept.

According to reports, he tried to secure a match at Wrestlemania in 2019 before being given a cameo role instead. Hogan was working with a number of professional wrestling organisations until 2020 when he was banned by AEW.

The company's boss Tony Khan said Hogan and ex-wife Linda were banned due to a controversial tweet from Linda about the protests and riots in America following the death of George Floyd. Fans have been sending their well-wishes to Hogan on social media.
