Greg Norman has finally given his take on a photo frenzy that captured the world's attention.

The Aussie golfing legend made headlines around the globe after posting what he thought was an innocent photo of him and his dog at the beach.

Norman shared some cute pics of himself playing with his pooch on the beach in Florida.

“A man and his dog on a Sunday,” Norman wrote alongside the photos.

But what the 65-year-old thought were some innocent photos ended up revealing a little bit too much.

The image sparked thousands of responses online and in the mainstream media, with Norman declining to comment on the saga until now.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, Norman admits that he found the whole affair "hilarious".

“I was just out walking my dog and it is what it is,” Norman said.

“I think some of the comments were hilarious, and I don’t normally read the comments, so it was quite a bit of fun.”

Norman has not confirmed whether or not he was aware of the X-rated detail in his photo before he posted it.

Nevertheless, the photos showed off the 65-year-old golf champion’s insane physique that he works on in a home gym that he built himself.

“I work out a minimum of five days a week, sometimes six days. I always take at least one day off,” Norman said in 2018.

“I have a full gym at my house. I built it. It’s got a cardio room, a full weight room, free weights, all that stuff.

“At the end of the day, I do enjoy keeping fit at my age.

“I don’t have any ego about me, but I do love having a fit life.”

The former World No.1 won the Open Championship in 1986 and 1993, and was runner-up at the other three majors numerous times.

Golfing great’s Christmas Covid nightmare

Norman's Christmas was ruined last year after he was twice admitted to hospital having tested positive for Covid-19.

The 65-year-old revealed in December that he had returned home after his first visit to the emergency room, despite still experiencing mild effects from the virus.

The two-time major winner still had to pass two successive tests to be cleared of COVID-19, with his second one coming back positive for the virus.

It meant Norman was forced back into a hospital in his hometown Florida, where he revealed to his legion of followers that the virus had "kicked the crap" out of him.

"I hope this will be my final update on this CoVid saga of mine," Norman wrote.

"I am fit and strong and have a high tolerance for pain but this virus kicked the crap out of me like nothing I have ever experienced before.

"Muscle and joint pain on another level. Headaches that feel like a chisel going through your head scraping little bits off each time, fever, muscles that just did not want to work like yesterday walking my dog Apollo my quads and hip flexors just did not want to work due to fatigue.

“Then my taste failed where beer tastes bad and wine the same. And finally at times struggling with memory of names and things. Then there is irritation.”
