Golf instruction: Easy points to master the takeaway of the golf swing

Taking the club outside and picking the club up can make a big difference in the simplicity of the takeaway.

This week, Golfweek’s fitness guru and long driver Averee Dovsek and Kent St. Charles from Lab 18 demonstrate how to properly takeaway the club using an alignment stick. Getting the shaft parallel to the ground on the way back can make all the difference.
