He had signed a two-year, $1.2 million contract extension, however missing the finals for the second straight season forced the Crows to look in another direction.

Despite Anthony Griffin putting the Broncos in a decent position to make the finals, his contract was terminated with 12 months remaining and he would awkwardly see out the season knowing Bennett was returning to take over.</p>

Despite Anthony Griffin putting the Broncos in a decent position to make the finals, his contract was terminated with 12 months remaining and he would awkwardly see out the season knowing Bennett was returning to take over.

  • <p>Tensions were at boiling point at Leichhardt this year with Potter and skipper Robbie Farah clashing on numerous occasions. On top of that, the Tigers board conducted an internal review into the coaching situation, leaving Potter undermined and unable to (as he put it) ‘make any big decisions’.</p>
