Full-back Milne joins Hearts from Partick Thistle
Harry Milne has signed a 18-month deal at Hearts, with Partick Thistle receiving an undisclosed fee for the left-back.
Ethan Drysdale, 19, moves in the opposite direction on loan for the remainder of the season.
Milne, 28, was due to be out of contract at Firhill in the summer, having joined from Cove Rangers in 2022.
He has four goals in 22 appearances for the Championship side in this campaign and will provide competition for James Penrice at Tynecastle.
"We've been a little light in defence recently so bringing Harry in to provide us with further, strong defensive options is a good piece of business," manager Neil Critchley told the club website.
"He's got loads of Scottish football experience and with the consistent level of performances he's been displaying for Partick Thistle, we're confident he can make the step up to the Premiership.
"Harry's done it the hard way, honing his craft through the various levels and showcasing his talent along the way. He's earned this move and we're looking forward to working with him."
With Stephen Kingsley injured and Andres Salazer's loan cut short, Hearts lacked cover for Penrice, who has started 30 matches this season.
Elton Kabangu, Jamie McCart, Michael Steinwender and Sander Kartum are the other January arrivals at Hearts.
