Jorge Marco de Oliveira Moraes had possession of the ball for Flamengo when he suddenly lurched into the air awkwardly as though he'd been fouled by a ghost.

Replays appear to show the left back's studs getting caught in the pitch as he attempted a long ball, with commentators struggling to control their hysterical laughter.

The incident comes on the same day as a similarly strange one in China.
