Chelsea will offer Lukaku to Everton in Barkley exchange

Chelsea are planning a swap offer for Everton star Ross Barkley.

The People says Romelu Lukaku will be allowed to quit Chelsea and join Everton this summer but only if Jose Mourinho lands Barkley in return.

The Portuguese regards Barkley as a natural successor to Frank Lampard, who is set to quit the Stamford Bridge side for Major League Soccer's LA Galaxy.

That has raised the prospect of a move south for Barkley, with the Toffees' manager Roberto Martinez also keen to land Lukaku on a permanent basis.
