But ex-Manchester City man Dzeko showed why he is the reigning Serie A capocannoniere with a wonderful effort to level the game.

Latching onto a lofted ball from Federico Fazio, Dzeko timed his volley to perfection to leave Thibaut Courtois no chance in the Chelsea net.

The Bosnian followed up that effort with a header to put Roma ahead just minutes later, before Hazard struck again to make it 3-3 in London.

Dzeko's effort was strikingly similar to Cahill's against Netherlands in 2014.

The Aussie talisman also latched onto a lofted ball into the box and delivered a thunderous strike with his left boot.
