GAME PREVIEW

Ronald Koeman
Ronald Koeman

Everton haven't had the strongest start to the season, securing just four points in four games and losing their last Premier League match 3-0 against Tottenham

However, with top-scorer Wayne Rooney on hand having been part of the reigning Europa League champions squad with Manchester United, Ronald Koeman hopes the Toffees will be able to progress from Group E.

Koeman's men came through two qualifying rounds against MFK Ruzomberok and Hajduk Split and will be aiming to maintain their form in the competition with a what would be a historic win in Italy.

Home side Atalanta are returning to Europe for the first time in 27 years after a successful previous season finishing in fourth place in Serie A and coach Gian Piero Gasperini will be hoping to use their 3-4-3 formation to secure a win.
