Football superstar smashes Usain Bolt's World Record average speed

French superstar Kylian Mbappe has 30 goals this year for PSG and blasted home three goals on the weekend, but it could be the frightening speed he reached during one of his hat-trick goals which was his most impressive feat.

The 20-year-old World Cup winner was in his scintillating best form on the weekend as he destroyed Monaco with a stunning hat-trick, which helped hand PSG the Ligue 1 title.

But it was the top speed he reached during the first goal that had onlookers in awe of his physical abilities.

Mbappe reached a top speed of 38km/h as he played a ball out wide and sprinted 50m to tab the ball home upon the return pass.

His sprint speed smashed that of German and Manchester City forward Leroy Sane who had the best figures in the Premier League last season of 35.5km/h.

Incredibly, it also topped Bolt’s average speed when he registered 37.58km/h when the Jamaican broke the 100m World Record in the 2009 Berlin World Championships.

However, it is important to note Bolt’s average speed was set over a longer distance.

Mbappe was also only the second person to register more than 30 goals this season across the top five leagues after Lionel Messi.
