'Very raunchy': Sizzling new Sam Kerr photo sets internet alight

A sizzling photo of Matildas captain Sam Kerr and her new love interest has sent the internet into meltdown.

Kerr recently went public with her new relationship after photos emerged of her and USA football rival Kristie Mewis hugging on the pitch following the bronze medal match at the Olympics.

The football stars sparked romance rumours during the Tokyo Games when they were spotted sharing some lovely moments together after USA beat the Matildas to win bronze.

Mewis could be seen consoling Kerr after the Aussie star was left heartbroken by the loss.

The American star has once again set tongues wagging in a raunchy new Instagram post showing her and the Aussie captain kissing in a swimming pool.

The pair are lying together on an inflatable with a drink in hand, clearly enjoying some rest and relaxation after a taxing Olympic Games campaign.

Mewis captioned the photo with the word, "Kerrching", with the post garnering more than 76,000 likes and 1200 comments since it was published.

The sizzling new photo left fans in a frenzy on social media, with comments flying in thick and fast for the loved-up couple.

"OMG OMG OMG YESSS FUCKING YESSS," one user commented.

Another replied: "NEVER STOP THESE POSTS," followed by a series of love heart emojis.

"Omg I love when athletes comfort each other- sportsmanship and kindness at its finest," another said.

Sam Kerr goes public with new romance

Earlier this month, Kerr confirmed the romance on social media, posting a photo of the pair kissing.

The 27-year-old posted a photo showing her holding a Polaroid snap of Mewis sitting on her lap as they shared a kiss.

Kerr tagged Mewis in the caption, adding a red love heart emoji.

Mewis also shared a photo of her and Kerr looking very loved-up.

Kerr recently split with Nikki Stanton - also an American football player - in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics.

The pair had been together for seven years, but Kerr reportedly told friends she had “fallen out of love” with Stanton.

Kerr and Stanton have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
