Female golfer shows off outrageous pre-shot routine

American golfer and Instagram star Paige Spiranac has posted a video of her new pre-shot routine that is so over-the-top it rivals Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke.

Spiranac has more than 770,000 followers on Instagram and she’s treated them to an interesting look at how she prepares for an approach shot in a game of golf.

After bending over and picking up a few blades of grass to check the wind, the American then flicks her hair back seductively, before striding towards her ball as if she was on a cat-walk.

Then, as if to make an exaggerated point of sticking out her backside, Spiranac performs a quick jiggle before hitting the ball towards the putting green.

The performance certainly conjures up images of Australia’s own ‘Jiggling Jenneke’- the Olympic hurdler whose pre-race warm up has become legendary.

It’s not just the ladies who are famous for their elaborate sporting routines though - Welsh rugby star Dan Biggar can arguably lay claim to the strangest pre-kick ritual in the 15-a-side game.

It's not the first time we have seen Paige's golfing prowess go viral either:
