FEMA Surveys Tornado Destruction in Mayfield, Kentucky

The United States’ Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) surveyed damage in Mayfield, Kentucky, on December 13, after the area was hit by deadly tornadoes late on Friday, December 10.

At least 74 people were killed in Kentucky when a line of tornados tore through the state late on Friday evening into Saturday morning, Gov Andy Beshear said in a press conference on Tuesday. Gov Beshear said at least four fully formed tornadoes were identified, one of which stayed on the ground for at least 200 miles.
