'Don’t ask me': Daniel Ricciardo confused over 'crazy' F1 drama
Aussie F1 driver Daniel Ricciardo has led the confusion over the dramatic ending to the season, which saw Max Verstappen snatch the championship over Lewis Hamilton in remarkable circumstances.
Verstappen prevailed in an astonishing last-race, last-lap shoot-out, overtaking Hamilton at the death to claim his maiden F1 championship.

Hamilton's beaten Mercedes team were left protesting the result after a dramatic finish which was allowed to unfold after a safety car had been employed.
The Red Bull driver Verstappen stormed past the seven-time champion to win the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday, having benefited from the late safety car that bunched up the pack.
Many drivers were left divided over the decision of the F1 officials to allow some cars to pass.
Ricciardo remained impartial when it came to the winner, but was just as confused as viewers when asked about his thoughts.
“I don’t want you to ask me ... I want to ask you. Tell me, tell me what happened,” Ricciardo said in the chaos after the race.
“Crazy. Crazy, crazy finale.”

The Aussie driver finished in 12th in Abu Dhabi, and 8th overall in the championship.
But when pressed on what happened on the final laps, Ricciardo was still seeking answers to why he wasn't allowed to overtake.
"At the end, it was kinda weird. They said cars can't pass, but some of them did," Ricciardo said.
"But then I wasn't allowed to. But then we did a one lap restart. I am sitting right behind Lewis [Hamilton] and Max [Verstappen], like why am I here.
“Thanks for riding with me, with the team and we’ll see you in a few months!” 🍯🦡

"I don't know. It was very interesting."
Ricciardo did feel for Hamilton following the race and said it was a tough way to lose the championship.
“I said before the weekend, there’s no loser,” Ricciardo said.
“They’ve both done everything possible ... but of course, for Lewis to lose it on the last lap, that’s a tough one today.”
