Emmerdale to revisit killer Lachlan story as Belle receives a shock
Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale's Belle Dingle gets an unwelcome blast from the past next week as she receives an update on evil Lachlan White.
When PC Swirling arrives in the village to see Belle, he explains that Lachlan is being moved to another prison.
Lachlan, who was previously in a relationship with Belle, was last seen on the show in 2019.
The villain is best remembered for his sinister crimes, including killing his best friend Gerry Roberts and causing the car crash that killed his mum Chrissie and grandfather Lawrence.

The news about Lachlan proves to be triggering for Belle and she decides to confide in Vinny Dingle about how she's feeling.
Belle worries about overwhelming her boyfriend Tom King so soon after she has shared other revelations about her past, so she chooses to keep the news from him.
Belle makes a positive move by booking to see her therapist, but she struggles as she awaits the appointment. Vinny is concerned when he finds Belle in an anxious state.

Tom finds out what's going on when his work boss Rhona Goskirk lets slip that Belle has dealt with a lot of trauma over the years.
Rhona regrets her comment when Tom asks for the full details, wanting to know what Belle has been hiding from him.
Later, Tom and Chas Dingle are both worried when they hear that Belle has gone off alone and nobody can reach her.
Tom and Chas unite to search for Belle, but it's awkward for them after their history of animosity. Tom takes the opportunity to once again apologise to Chas for terrorising her after Carl's death in 2012.

Shortly afterwards, Tom and Chas spot Belle and they fear that her mental health has taken a turn for the worse.
