Champagne, a performance by BigXthaPlug, cigars, the Vince Lombardi trophy: The Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory afterparty truly had it all!

After the Eagles’ resounding win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Feb. 9, the newly-named 2025 Super Bowl champions partied the night away in New Orleans, starting first at the official team afterparty at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside

There, head coach Nick Sirianni was captured dancing and singing on stage to “My Prerogative” by Bobby Brown and “Buy U a Drank” by T-Pain. His team sang along with the coach — known for his seriousness on the field — who was smiling and had a cigar in hand.

BigXthaPlug, a rapper from Dallas best known for his tracks “Texas” and “Mmhmm,” also took the stage, later posting a picture of himself holding the prized trophy. Making up the crowd decked in green were fans and many of the players who, hours before, had dominated the field with a 40-22 win.

Football safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson also jumped on stage, touting the trophy, according to TMZ. Many of his teammates stood in the back of the room, partying and adding their own voices to the rap music booming from speakers.

Before his impromptu dance-off, Sirianni was in the team’s private locker room after his team dominated the field. According to The Athletic, he said he was desperately in need of a cigar and a drink.

“You know, this head coaching thing — I think people have an opinion of the way they think a head coach should be,” Sirianni, 43, told the outlet. “But you’ve got to be who you are. That doesn’t mean you try to not get better. That doesn’t mean I don’t try to check my emotions sometimes because I know that it’s one of my biggest strengths. But [it] also can be a hindrance as well.”

“But I’m really thankful for the adversity and thankful for the criticism. Adversity makes you who you are, makes the team who it is, and I’m proud of that,” he added, per The Athletic. “I just didn’t conform to what people wanted me to be. I was true to myself of who I am, and I’ve been leading this way, really, since I’ve been in high school. And so, I’m grateful for the adversity. I’m grateful for the criticism.”

When Sirianni joined the party, he had a “pricey” cigar in hand. He would have preferred a Black & Mild. “You know I’m low class!” Sirianni joked, speaking to general manager Howie Roseman, according to The Athletic.

The after-party was loud and joyful — and started just after the game. A video posted on X by a reporter for The Athletic shows Saquon Barkley in the locker room, pouring champagne into the mouths of fellow partygoers, including Bob Lange, the team’s senior vice president of communications. Later that night, the running back celebrated his 28th birthday in style.

“It’s safe to say that I’ma take the cake for this year,” Barkley wrote on Instagram the next day. “I would say try again next year. But next year will probably be my best year… GOD IS GREAT 🖤🖤”
