Dunk of the tournament not much help for Jaylin Williams, Arkansas in loss to Duke
Jaylin Williams will always have this.
His Arkansas Razorbacks suffered a resounding defeat against Duke on Saturday. But he posted one of the highlights of the tournament on his way out.
With Duke leading 63-48 and Arkansas struggling to score in the second half, Williams decided to take the most direct path to the bucket. In this instance, that meant directly through future NBA lottery selection Paolo Banchero.
Banchero was game. He jumped to meet Williams at the rim. But Williams won this battle in emphatic fashion, slamming the ball home over the 6-foot-10 All-ACC forward.

Unfortunately for Williams, he appeared to tweak his back on the play. Also unfortunately for Williams, the dunk didn't inspire an Arkansas rally. Williams was able to stay on the floor, but Duke maintained control of the game for a 78-69 win to eliminate Arkansas and secure a spot in next week's Final Four.
The Razorbacks had a good run as the No. 4 seed in the West. But neither that run nor Williams' dunk will make the pain of their elimination any less.
