Devils beaten at home by title rivals Giants

Belfast Giants maintained their position at the top of the Elite League with a 4-1 victory away at second-placed Cardiff Devils.

Devils returned to league action after winning the Continental Cup and with Saturday's game at Fife Flyers was called off after storm damage to the hosts' venue

Devils went ahead through Ryan Barrow in the first period but Gabe Best, Zak Galambos and a power play goal from Ben Lake saw Giants take control in the second period.

JJ Piccinich's goal in the final period sealed a significant win for Giants over their title rivals.
