Yahoo Sports’ lead draft analyst Eric Edholm shares his evaluation of the Cinicinnati quarterback.

[MUSIC PLAYING] ERIC EDHOLM: There's been some growing draft buzz on Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder, so let's break him down. On the upside, Ridder has very clean passing mechanics. Arguably, the best of any quarterback in this class. He also has really nice physical trades with good arm talent, terrific athleticism for the position, and he's also highly experienced, led the Bearcats to their first playoff periods a year ago. On the downside, Ridder lacks ideal accuracy, especially when it comes to throwing towards the perimeter of the field. He's also got a bit of an elongated throwing motion and he might never project to being a high end starter in the NFL. Our comp for Ridder, we see a lot of similarities to Marcus Mariota in his game.
