Demons boss Cameron Schwab resigns

The AFL have confirmed that Melbourne Demons Chief Executive Cameron Schwab has quit the club.

The resignation was announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Melbourne's poor start to the 2013 season, which included a 148-point loss to Essendon, prompted criticism of under-siege coach Mark Neeld.

But insiders, including Schwab confirmed that the club was fully behind Neeld.
