After damaging sprinkler, past Valspar champ and wife buy lunch for Innisbrook staff

Tempers got the best of numerous PGA Tour players last week at the Valspar Championship.

Patton Kizzire punted his putter. Sahith Theegala threw his club. Then there was Adam Hadwin, the 2017 Valspar champion. During the second round Friday, Hadwin was on the par-4 10th hole when he took his anger out on the ground. He swung his club and happened to hit a sprinkler head, and off it went.

In true Canadian fashion, he quickly started to apologize and tried to fix the problem, but the damage was done.

But Hadwin and his wife, Jessica, went even further. They paid to replace the sprinkler head and bought the staff at Innisbrook lunch on Friday.

Ryan Stewart, Innisbrook's Director of Agronomy, shared photos Friday of the catered Chipotle lunch. "That was a great touch and our staff loved it," he said on social media.

It's a nice touch from past Valspar champion and his wife. Hadwin sits 3 under during the weather delay at the Texas Children's Houston Open with 12 holes remaining in his second round.
