The New Saints 4-0 Penybont: Reigning champions The New Saints secured a vital win in their bid to keep hold of their title with a comfortable 4-0 victory over nearest rivals Penybont.
Danny Davies' excellent looping header - his sixth goal of the season – gave Saints a 10th minute lead at Park Hall.
Craig Harrison's side doubled their lead nine minutes after the break when from Adam Wilson's cross, Aramide Oteh netted from close range for his fourth goal in four games.
Ryan Brobbel found the top corner with an excellent free-kick to extend the home side's lead just after the hour mark.
Ben Clark capitalised on a defensive mistake to seal victory with a fine individual finish three minutes from time and give Saints a seventh consecutive win.
Victory means Saints are six points clear of second placed Penybont, who are without a win in three games in phase two.
