Cristiano Ronaldo drops $17 million on world's most expensive car
Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly splashed the cash on the world’s most expensive car.
According to the Mirror, which refers to several media reports, it is the Bugatti “La Voiture Noire” – supposedly the most expensive new car ever built.
The staggering cost of the black luxury sports car is 11 million euros – about $17.5 million.

For Ronaldo the price is, however, manageable.
His annual salary at Juventus is 30 million euros ($48 million), not including additional income from sponsorships and other endorsements.
The car is a tribute to a former Bugatti model from the late 1930s.
The new edition was built on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the original French automobile company.
The supercar, like its predecessor “Chiron”, is said to have 1500 hp under the hood and can reach a top speed of 420 km/h.
This one-off Bugatti La Voiture Noire is the most expensive new car ever sold at a base price of $12.5M and holds its value at $18M. Total output of 1500HP, I would say that it is a fast pieces of modern art combined with some beautiful history from the mid 1930’s. @Bugatti pic.twitter.com/onlO6jxNAg

However, Ronaldo will have to be patient until the first drive: The sports car is not finished yet, with minor details still needing to be changed on the prototype.
The Portuguese star will be allowed to drive it from 2021.
