Another Kiwi fan wins $50k with epic one-handed catch

Another New Zealand cricket fan has locked in $50,000 for a brilliant crowd catch in the T20 tri-series between the host nation, Australia and England.

Rudi Bosman earned himself the prize with a one-handed overhead catch in England's innings against the Black Caps in Hamilton on Sunday.

Stepping up off his seat on the hill, the white ball fell perfectly into Bosman's right palm.

Much like a keeper's catch is worth the same as a spectacular effort on the boundary, Bosman will take home the same amount of money as university student Mitchell Grimstone from Friday night.

Soon after an Australian fielder had dropped one in the deep, Grimstone stuck his left arm out over the fence and brilliantly plucked a six out of the air.

The $50,000 is offered as part of a sponsorship with a local brewery.

But fans must have bought one of the orange jerseys -- and it must be worn while the catch is taken.

This bloke found out the hard way earlier in the year:

Bosman's catch came off the bat of Dawid Malan, who was caught for real by New Zealand's Mark Chapman off the bowling of Colin de Grandhomme.

England, through Malan's 53 and captain Eoin Morgan's 80, set the home side a target of 195 to win.

Martin Guptill (62) and Colin Munro (57) led the Black Caps towards the target and a place in the final against Australia on Wednesday.

New Zealand fell short of a win -- England won by two runs -- but reached the decider due to a superior net run rate.
