Warner and Smith troll Piers Morgan over Ashes win
England's most prominent internet troll Piers Morgan's brash confidence in an Ashes victory over Australia in Adelaide has come back to bite him.
The TV personality opted to fill his Twitter feed with messages about the Australians' misfortune late in the second Test:
Not laughing now, are you sunshine... #ashes #smith #followonchoker pic.twitter.com/vU1IJsAscf

You're going down, mate.
Your skipper's blown it. https://t.co/3szWpOyTBW— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 5, 2017
His most prominent tweet came during England's push towards victory on day four:
England need only 195 to win.
* Australia have used up all reviews.
* Australia suddenly can't catch a cold.
* Australians are all going quiet on Twitter.
* Australian captain Steve Smith hasn't laughed for several hours.
It's ON. #Ashes pic.twitter.com/zOitHTw84j— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 5, 2017
Steve Smith copped the brunt of Morgan's brashness after wasting Australia's two reviews in the space of just a few minutes during England's fourth-innings chase.
He even tried to swing Test legend Shane Warne into worrying about a win, but it didn't work.
Hahaha Very mate, you guys have lost 4 wickets and not even half way !!! You think you got this my friend ? https://t.co/WFQ4y4lGUg

Australia cleaned up England's tail before the end of the first session on day five to take a 2-0 lead in the Ashes.
While many fans flooded his account with mentions of laughter, Morgan at least copped it on the chin.

But it wasn't over.
Australian opener David Warner took time out of his celebrations in the rooms to grab a photo with his relieved skipper.
And the photo was sent straight to Morgan, who promptly shared it for all to see.
When Aussies sledge you in your DMs... 😡😡😡
Congrats chaps @davidwarner31 @stevesmith49, you’ve definitely had the last laugh.
ps can you both tread on a ball in the warm-up at at Perth? #ashes pic.twitter.com/aGbgYVwW1N— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) December 6, 2017
He hasn't tweeted about cricket since, which is probably a smart idea.
His new subject -- Donald Trump -- is the only person in the world in a worse spot than England and their Ashes hopes.
