Khawaja farewells horror India tour with perfect tweet

Usman Khawaja didn't get a game on Australia's Test tour of India, and then spent the majority of the IPL on the sidelines.

As the IPL wrapped up on Monday morning, Khawaja poked fun at his lack of playing time across a frustrating four-month span.

He wasn't picked in any of Australia's four Tests against India and was overlooked for every single one of Rising Pune Supergiant's games in the illustrious T20 tournament.

He watched on as his side fell in thrilling fashion to Mumbai Indians in the decider.

Despite being paid $195,000 for his services, Khawaja was nothing but a glorified water boy, hence his tweet on Monday:

"Had a great time in India for the last 4 months! Sad way 2 finish the IPL but had a great time," Khawaja tweeted alongside a picture of Bobby Boucher, the Adam Sandler character from 'The Waterboy'.

Khawaja will break his drought in Australia A's tour of South Africa in July, eager to impress in the whites ahead of a possible Test recall for the Ashes.
